The Truth Behind Breast Lift Surgery
If you have sagging breasts from breastfeeding, sudden weight loss, or simply the result of aging and gravity, you might be a good candidate for the breast lift surgery. Breast lift or mastopexy surgery is done to firm up breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the breast tissue and muscle to create a youthful appearance.
Most candidates for mastopexy can be satisfied with the results, but the concern remains to how long the effect will last. The results are usually long-term, but how long they last is decided by a variety of factors, including any loss or gaining of weight in the future, the aging process, and future pregnancies.
The Risks of the Breast Lift Surgery
The risks associated with this type of cosmetic procedure include the same risks as any surgery. The risks include possible infection, bleeding, scarring of coagulation, the tightness or burning sensation around the incision, the risks associated with anesthesia and complications and permanent loss or temporary tenderness around the nipples and areolas.

The Breast Lift Procedure

Surgery may be performed under general anesthesia within a time frame of one to three hours.

The recovery time should be about a week before the patient can return to work or doing other active activities, and about two weeks before you can engage in sexual activities.
How Much Does the Breast Lift Surgery Cost?
The expected cost of breast lift varies by geographic location, and surgeon’s fees, among other factors, but you should expect to pay between $ 3,500 and $ 6,000 for the breast lifts. Your anesthesia typically runs between $ 1,000 and $ 1,300 setup fee. The remaining balance will be the surgeon’s fee. Your final cost for the surgeon can vary depending on the surgeon’s qualifications and experience, and if there are multiple procedures. Smaller breasts usually require less work and will cost less.
